What to expect

Enjoy a scenic hike in the Mugello area, a little corner of heaven just outside of Florence. Visit a family-run organic farm and taste Chianti Rufina wine and extra-virgin olive oil.

Nature lovers can spend some hours hiking the Tuscan hills along silent country roads, through vineyards, olive groves and medieval villages, immersed in a land rich in history where the Etruscans and the Romans lived.

Halfway the hike you’ll stop at a local wine farm on the hill of Frascole. Meet the winemakers and learn about their specific methods and approaches to wine production.

Visit the vineyard, the cellar and take your time to sit, relax and taste wine and extra-virgin olive oil while the owner explains their characteristics. A typical Tuscan light lunch with cured meat, cheese and Tuscan bread is also included.

From Florence, you can easily reach the meeting point by train and enjoy the scenic journey through the Tuscan countryside.
